Crash on I-57

Traffic on I-57 only backed up for less than 20 minutes as Illinois State Police arrived and diverted it around the crash.

Traffic on I-57 was down to one lane as Illinois State Police investigated a crash involving a semi truck and a passenger vehicle Monday afternoon in the northbound lane approximately a mile before the Goreville exit.

One semi and one passenger vehicle are off the road in accident on I-57 in the northbound lane approximately a mile before exit 40 around 2:30 Monday afternoon.

Interstate 57 near mile-post 39 was down to one lane after a two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon.  No injuries were reported.
