Rebecca Simmons sits quietly reading Robert Liparulo’s “Watcher In The Woods” while waiting for customers at Goreville’s Tropical Sno.  Owners said recent rumors have circulated causing customers to believe the business is in the process of closing and being put up for sale.  “Nothing could be further from the truth,” said owner Renee Pressley, adding that while business has been slow, she could not imagine how such a rumor got started.  “I even had an employee say they were interested in purchasing the business because they heard we were selling it,” Pressley said.  Tropical Sno opened in June of 2012 and is largely a summer concession that Pressley said does well when games or events are taking place at the park, but lately business has dropped off and she believes the rumors are partially to blame.  “We’re not closing and we’re not selling,” Pressley said, adding that the business will likely close for the season sometime in September.
