Southern Express 99 14U claims second at State Tourney

The Southern Express 99 14U softball team claimed State Runner up Title in the Illinois ASA State Tournament held recently in Springfield over the July fourth weekend. The Tournament consisted of 52 teams from Northern, Central, and Southern Illinois competing in a double elimination format. Southern Express finished the Tournament with nine wins and two loses. Express was defeated in the Championship Game 14-10 by the Black Widows from Edwardsville IL.
