Goreville High School Beta Club President Raeghan Goins (left) and Beta Club members Cheyenne Cook (center) and Jacqueline McSpadden (right) help fill pencil boxes with school supplies for the Stuff the Bus program prior to the beginning of the 2013 school year. The Beta Club members’ participation held true to the club’s motto, “Let us lead by serving others” as the Stuff the Bus program seeks to help provide Goreville students with the school supplies they need. Stuff the Bus coordinator Shirley Goins said $2,700 was raised to help purchase school supplies that help outfit the nearly 600 K through 12-grade students at Goreville Schools this year. “We are extremely grateful to the Beta Club and the help they provided,” Goins said. “Stuff the Bus would like to thank the entire community for all it has contributed over the past five years to make it such a success.” Stuff the Bus will continue collecting for next year with fund raising to take place at the upcoming Goreville Fall Festival.
