Junior High Blackcats finish regular season strong

The Goreville Junior High boys’ basketball team improved its season record to 19-1 with a pair of recent wins.

On Thursday, Jan. 16, the Junior Blackcats rolled to an 84-15 victory over Zeigler-Royalton in a game at Goreville.

Scoring for Goreville: Webb-26; Dunn-14; Massey-10; Lewis-9; Bishop-6; Calhoun-6; Tosh-6; Duringer-5; Geyman-2.

On Monday, Jan. 20, Goreville notched a 54-35 home win over Sesser-Valier. Webb (28 points) and Bishop (10 points) each hit double figures. Rounding out the scoring for Goreville were: Dunn (8 points), Massey (6 points), and Tosh (2 points).
