Blackcats upset Eagles
The Goreville Blackcats upset the Vienna Eagles on their home court, defeating them 74-66.
After a rocky offensive start, the Blackcats turned up the heat, making it rain from three-point range.
After falling behind early in the first quarter, the Blackcats closed out the half leading 27-19.
Shooting 53% from beyond the arch, the team dropped in 10 of 19 attempts from long range. Braden Webb hit an incredible seven of 10 attempts, and scored 28 points in the contest.
Two additional players hit double-digit numbers. Jared Vaughn dropped in two three-point buckets and scored 15 points on the night. Jonathan Troop scored 10.
Brant Glidewell cleaned the glass for the Blackcats, coming down with 11 rebounds; he also had five points and four blocks.
The Blackcats also had a solid effort from the charity stripe, hitting 22 of 32 attempts.
